I'm inactive and I don' attend any of the meetings. I never attended her Spanish congregation; I attended the English.
Her congregation is also out in the county & not in town. There is also about 6 or 7 english congregations that attend three different halls. (includes several small towns & county areas beside the big city.)

I definately agree with you that her definition of "stealing" is when they take something away from her.
They have 3 children that I'm endeared with. IT's not the kids fault that their parents are JW. The kids need to be fed & if I call Welfare they'll loose their food stamp benefits.
But I will file the report today. I'll talk to her before I do. She might say that she only borrowed them ( my baking dishes) & intended to give them back. If she denies it then she'll have to explain it to the Police when they knock on her door.
They are legal. Because last summer she helped babysit my daughter and I had to get a copy of her SS card for income tax purposes & employment.

THe worst thing is that she is not bonded. She did this as a side job. She has several side jobs eventhough she collects Welfare.

Okay,
I've checked my cupboards and several of my "Princess House" baking collection is missing.
I keep my favorite things in their "original" boxes; I have 3 baking dishes missing. My pie dish, my square reg. cake dish, & the next size up. My boxes are in the cubboards; but they are empty.
I'm glad that I agreed on filling a report. I have insurance and that is the only way that the insurance will replace them. The jam crook can deal with my insurance & Ceasar's law on her own.
By the way, she's not denying that she took them. She just doesn't understand she stole them because her definition of stealing is differnt than ours. She'll have to explain that to the police.

I'm sorry - my statement was pretty vague ; but, please note
La capra isn't the salavadoran JW who stole my jam;
she is one of us on this forum and she's the one mailing my grandma some of her "special home made black berry jam".

The worst thing is that I have to keep seeing this JW house cleaner. She lives less than a block away from me. When I turn into my street I have to drive by where she currently lives.
I enjoy having beautiful dreams. That must've been a cool dream. I've had a couple of those dreams. Then I wake up with a big smile in my face.

It will be enphasizing La Capra's ( poster on this forum who replaced the jam) good deeds.
La Capra has never met my grandma or me; yet, she offered (free of charge) to send my grandma some of her homemade blackberry jam.
Then I'll add to my letter how & who stole my jam. With the X-mas spirit comming up, I'm thinking that they will probably publish it.
I can try to also get it printed in the University's newspaper. That would reach 14,000 students.

I made elderberry jam a long time ago when I lived in Nevada. You're so right it's sooooo yummy. I love hunny! I usually drive down. Since my cast comes off on the 3rd of Dec, the doc doesn't want me to drive 1,000 miles because I dont have complete range of motion in my left arm.

La Capra is sending my granmother some of her homemade Blackberry Jam. I'm letting grandma know that a very "special Friend" made them just for her! Isn't that soooooooo sweet?
Here is a portion of La Capra's e-mail to me:
The shipping is on me, my jam is my art, you know. This is one of those
stories that will make it all the more special. She will be telling all her
friends how wonderful you are, having had your own jam stolen, and your
house burglarized, and then finding someone to replace your homemade jam. It will make the jam all the more sweet.
I would consider it honor if I could do this for you and your mum.The jars aren't fancy, but the jam is quite good. I ship it regularly to my aunt and have had no trouble wrapping it in about eight sheets of tissue paper and packing it tightly in a shoebox (we aren't too fancy here, we students).
I will need to know how many pints.
